Never been backcountry skiing before? Love skiing and want to experience it in the backcountry? This experience is for you! Learn how to prepare for a backcountry ski trip, what to pack, the right gear, and even participate in an avalanche safety workshop. You’ll cover all the essentials of this activity during White-Lips! Don’t be fooled by the 60% downhill portion, you’ll spend most of your time outdoors, in the mountains!

This experience is for former White-Lips participants, as well as skiers and snowboarders who are proficient with backcountry equipment (splitboards, touring skis). You prefer to focus on maximizing your downhill runs rather than learning alpine touring techniques? Enjoy guided outings led by passionate ambassadors in Gaspesie National Park. These excursions will take you to breathtaking landscapes, where you’ll experience the best skiing in the Chic-Chocs and soak up the White-Lips atmosphere!

The ideal place to safely learn alpine hiking in avalanche-prone terrain.

Equipment rental at 88,99$

*Please note that equipment rental is included if you upgrade your experience to a full day of catskiing for the entire duration required during White Lips. Limited quantities available.

Equipment rental includes all necessary gear: alpine touring skis or splitboard. Avalanche transceivers, shovels, and probes will only be provided if needed for the day’s outing.

Our rental equipment comes from the best specialty shops in Quebec.

IMPORTANT: By registering for White Lips, you agree to these cancellation conditions. These conditions apply to all cancellations, whether initiated by the White Lips organization or by you: If White Lips must be cancelled (e.g., due to government health regulations), these conditions will be applied AUTOMATICALLY.

Credit, refund/cancellations:

*Standard rate : The chosen rate is non-refundable and non-modifiable. Deposits made will be retained by Chic-Chac.

**Creditable Rate (8% of the total amount before taxes) : All deposits will be credited and can be used for a trip within the next 2 years in the event of a cancellation made more than 10 days before the reservation start date. No credit will be granted if the cancellation occurs 10 days or less before the reservation start date.

***Refundable Rate (15% of the total amount before taxes) : All deposits will be refunded in the event of a cancellation made more than 10 days before the reservation start date. No refunds will be granted if the cancellation occurs 10 days or less before the reservation start date.

Chic-Chac and White Lips’ Politics (Supplier of motorized outings during White Lips and mountain safety)

Chic-Chac has the right to cancel or change any motorised activities when the risk is too high, the weather is bad or in the case of a mecanical failure, regardless of the time remaining before the start of the activity. Every canceled or modified trip by Chic-Chac, could be rescheduled before the end of the current season according to availability.

Chic-Chac has the right to remove at any time, anybody who has not the requested habilities, based on the guide’s jugment. A participant who has not the propre habilities will be refund two thirds of the total amount for the ski part of the package.

Chic-Chac has also the right to remove at any time, anybody who does not follow the security instructions given by the guide. This participant will not have access any refund.
